Ok guys I'm thinking of selling one of my POF AR rifles and building or buying a bolt or possibly another custom Bullberry Encore.

If a bolt I was thinking of a trued 700 action with fluted bolt, stiller action, , defiance , or surgeon action all with the 700 foot print.

Caliber most likely a 260 or something like it. Gun will be used for hunting and paper punching and I want it to be .5 shooter atleast if I do my part.

Chassis in looking at are the JP modular bolt chassis, BC medalist, XLR,Elieso.

Any of these a good option and if not any better choices please point them out.
Not worried with weight too much. I do want something that is pretty much drop in.

If anyone knows best place with good prices for any of these items let me know.

Any input on a good trigger? Looking for a single stage between 1-2lbs

Re: Bolt action chassis or stock choice?

Caliber: 6.5 Creedmoor for target/tactical matches, great factory ammo, would work better for hunting if your reload.

Action: Any of the ones you chose, really depends on your budget.

Stock: Manners of your choice but with the Mini Chassis Sytem, It really is the best of both worlds, a traditional stock feel with the best features of a chassis.

Trigger: For the weight you want I would go Timney or Jewel! You may or may not be able to adjust a Factory old stlye Remington trigger to that weight, if you do it will feel as good as the custom triggers.

I like the stiller action. the 6.5 creedmoor is a fine cartridge - brass can be hard to come by (at least in the past). I find that i shoot the .308 most of the time, tho.

I recently got a Raptor chassis from Roedale. I like it a lot.
