Accurite, I checked it on a torque wrench calibarting fixture today at work, spot on at 15 and 65 inch pounds, I will check it again again yearly to ensure

I am a aircraft mechanic, 23 years now, this is the only torque wrench I have ever seen\used that the torque value being used is face down, to me this is backassward
The case it comes in, hopefully TAB will take of that

Overall I think think is a pretty dam good piece of equitment, its simple to use, the values are spot on, and its a great value compared to what other torque wrenches cost, my two dislikes in no way keeps me from recommending it to all.

I'm agreeing with everything said. We've had ours for a few weeks now, and everything's cool.

Looking forward to the TAB evolution till the final design whenever it may be. Things always seem to develop so we'll see.

The pouch is finished, here are some pictures. We worked on several models, this is the model we settled on. The flap is extra long for extra security in retaining small bits when rolled up and it also doubles as a parts apron to lay pieces out on when working in the field.

It's just about as small as the original pouch, but with much more versatility. Like all of my gear, 1000 Denier Cordura, triple stitched at stress points, double stitching on the edge binding.

As of right now we supply only Borka tools with the pouches, so if anyone wants to upgrade, you'd need to contact Boris to work that out. I know he's a little low on pouches at the moment. I'm making them as fast as I can, but it'll be a two or three weeks until I can get him some bigger quantities than I'm able to supply at the present.

Tony will be supplying more and more pouches to go with torque driver in the weeks to come, it's just a matter of time. Currently, the color is green, but I'm sure more color options will be available in the future.

If somebody wants Tony's (T.A.B. GEAR) pouch, please e-mail:

On the subject of torque value marking location - it's a delicate question. I will collect more feedback and then decide how to approach it. Right now, the user is just supposed to insert the hex bit holder into the socket marked with desired torque value, from the side of the torque value mark, and the hex bit holder is located on the bottom of the driver arm, relative to the user. There are actually two camps - one wants to see it on the top, the other one is happy with the current way of setting things up. I'll go with the recommendations of the users, whatever camp will win, statistically speaking.

This is also the only torque driver, as far as I know, which delivers different torque output depending upon which side of the driver is being used. I do understand it may look a bit weird to see torque values on top not matching the actual ones, however, in accordance with the same KISS principle, sticking the hex bit holder INTO the socket marked with desired torque value appears to be simple and straight forward. However, I'll certainly listen to user feedback, including your personal recommendation, as it is the most important element of the product improvement, and will change things if these changes are found to be desirable.

Hmm, I see your point on which torque being used and the insertion of the hex bit, that makes perfect sense, you have come up with a great product, I like it, I will use it, and I will continue to recommend it here on SH.

Re: Borka Torque Driver Model MG ver 1.03 Review

It didn't come with one, it's pretty easy to figure out though, hold the lever in one hand, and push/rotate/ turn the handle in the rightie tightie direction, the knob breaks easy on the lower torque side and harder on the higher torque side

Mine came with instructions, and a reference to youtube video. Wish I knew about the new pouches, but I got one with a bit set, so it may not fit.

Link to user guide for MG driver is shown at the bottom of front page of Borka Torque driver offering in Group Buy Section. Actually, user guide is included with every MG driver - it's a paper insert in a clear window of the carry bag, but you need to pull it out of the pocket to see the guide... But you're right, it's relatively easy to figure things out w/o the manual...

Also, here is the link to the user guide of the 15x72 version supplied to Brownells, less expensive one, which does not have torque setting laser etched, but instead, has a setup chart on the bottom of the case:

32 hex bits set will fit into the TAB Gear pouch, and also, into the current FroggToggs bag, as you probably found out by yourself.

But if you wish to have TAB GEAR pouch, drop me an e-mail, I'll ship it to you in a week, $21 (shipping included).

    Your setup looks really good.

You may already figured it out, but you can also use driver spindle (hex bit holder) assembled with the knob as a screwdriver. You wouldn't be able to tighten screws or nuts with it, as by design of the friction fit arrangement between the spindle and the knob, this will be actually a torque limiting screwdriver, with torque limited to, say, approximately 2 inch-lbs.

But in any case, you can twist fasteners with it, then apply torque driver to get to required
    tightening torque.

Re: Borka Torque Driver Model MG ver 1.03 Review

Tony not only showed me his Borka Torque driver the other day but his associated tool pouch, and needless to say I have one on back order through Brownells and will have to wait patiently for Tony to knock out some more pouches. When I get my tool in a I will post a comparison picture of the tools this one slick tool can replace. Tools like this certainly make you wish that you had come up with it yourself.
