Browning A Bolt Mounting Options

Hey folks,
I'm new to this forum but I have a question for you all. Although the answer may be simple to most, I just can't figure it out on my own.
I have a Browning A Bolt in 338 Win Mag(LH) and a Nikon Monarch 2.5-10 with a 42mm objective. I would like to hear anyone's opinion on which route to go for base and rings for this setup. Thanks in advance for your input.

That's what I've got on my browning stainless stalker in 30-06 LH. Holds zero fine and appears to be a quality product. I've got a Nitrex Two 3.5-15x42mm. I ordered the low rings but I kinda wished I ordered the medium because it's a really tight fit with Butler Creek caps and I had to shave a bit off.

Here's straight from the manufacturer about what height rings you'll need. It's kinda piss poor but that's all they've got.

If you want a tactical style setup, a Picatinny rail there is an EGW one here :

As for rings, get rings that go on that picatinny base, probably low ones (but maybe mediums read the sticky post on how to measure for this). For 1" rings, which that Monarch appears to be, I just use Leupold Rifleman mounts. They are inexpensive but work fine holding my Nikon on my rail. See them here:

If you want a hunting setup, Id use the one piece base/rings that Browning sells for that gun. They are good.

Thanks for the response. Ive been talking to a few folks from my "elk camp" and they had talked about "go with a one piece Leupold, blah blah..." I like to hear about things that work with the application I'm looking for. Yours has come closest. A solid base and mount like the one on your A Bolt seems the way to go. Should I take into consideration the diff between the 30-06 and the 338 for any reason?

Are you referring to recoil? We're both long actions. All I can say is I've ran about 200 rds through it and it never once came loose. Screws never backed out and it looks fine. I like it alot.
