I so wanted to buy the Shadow .375CT but I found out the twist rate on the barrel is 1-11.5 and was very disappointed. I will be shooting .377 Grain and with a 11.5 twist that just won't work for me. I asked and Cadex won't offer any other at this time.

Does anyone know the inside dimension on the Field Competition handguard? Will an M24 barrel profile fit? What material is the cheek riser made from? Everyone pleased with their purchases so far?

Thanks

Quick question, for the skeleton buttstock do you have to fully back out the thumb wheel screw to adjust the comb or just loosen? Can find videos of the strike tool-less one but so far none on skeleton one for adjustments. Trying to get an idea of ease for a long action I am starting to build have an XLR on another and wanting to try something more easily adjusted for this build.

Smitty192 inside dimension looks to be 1.49". Cheek riser is made from a hard plastic. Not sure exactly what it is or if it is something specific other than plastic.

Delicatessen Gotta back out the thumb screw all the way to adjust the butt or the cheek piece. Here is a pic of the bottom screw removed.

Did you find what your looking for? If you go to the Cadex webpage they have them for $784 for a folder

Yessir, figured it out, it was a Field Tactical Chassis configuration I was looking for. Sadly, it's a $1475 configuration, not $784.

I must of misunderstood your first post, I thought you were looking for the skeletonized butt stock to replace the one on the Field Core. It's $784. I'm debating on ordering a CDX 30 Lite, with the addition of the skeletonized stock.

So is the main difference between the Field Tactical and the Light Strike, simply the folding stock? I'm just trying to figure out why one is almost 800 more expensive than the other? They both look very similar to the eye, so I'd appreciate anyone with knowledge on both pointing out the things I may be missing!

The forward chassis is the same. The Lite Strike has a different stock, and is a folder. The folding hinge is actually an engineered item and more involved and expensive than you or I might think.

Cadex has basically four chassis: Strike, Tactical, Competition, and AR compatible. From there, you have the option of folding or not folding and barebones core, or with barreled action.

I am your Cadex dealer. Let me know where I can help.

Anyone shooting a 300NMag? I just ordered mined here in Canada. Going to get the reamer print but was curious what's shooting well in your rifles.

You might also consider taking the foam out of the case and rotating it 180° so that when you carry the case the rifle is in the upright position, shouldn't make a difference, but I think it is the preferred method for situating a rifle in a hard case.

Fun little build based on a trued 700 16.5" 223. Shoots absolutely lights out believe it or not. I wanted a "BAAR" - Bolt Action AR that is just more enjoyable and engaging to shoot and could be carried easily for small game hunting, etc. Got exactly what I was after :)

Remington 700 SPS .223
Trijicon 1-8x28
Cadex Field Tactical
Badger rings

^^ That's definitely not a R700 action!! Looks like a Stiller Tac-30 for sure. AO builds nice looking rigs though.

You are correct. It is the AO version with their branding on the other side.

I am very happy with all my CADEX chassis and rifles. Top notch rigs.

Hey Guys,
Just wanted to show you my new little baby. Remington 700 in .308. Vortex Razon Gen 2 4.5 - 27, and a Cadex Lite Strike.
