Hey all. Long time lurker but I finally pulled the trigger and joined SH.

Have a decent amount of experience with 9mm/10mm pistols and my two 5.56 ARs (shout out Daniel Defense!).

Been wanting to get into longer range shooting for a bit (5.56 has its limits haha), finally made the leap. Hunted around on SH forums/YouTube- looked at the Christiansen Arms MPR, Ruger RPR, Tikka T3x Tac, and the Bergara LRP (amongst many others!). Finally “settled” on a non-chassis rifle- Bergara Ridgeback Premier in 6.5CM. Should be here next week, super excited!

Still looking for a scope but have narrowed to the NF ATACR (prob 5-25, maybe the 7-35 but it gets AWFULLY hot here in the summer), SB PM II, Kahles k525i, or a USO B25. Expensive (for me) but I want to buy one that will work as I eventually move into larger rifles.

Have found a TON of useful info in these forums and I’m happy to finally be a part of SH. Cheers!

Welcome from Central Oregon! The online training is well worth the small monthly fee to get you started building good fundamentals and knowledge base early. The amount of information (and some wisdom too) available on SH is staggering. 6.5 CM is an excellent cartridge, you are going to have a lot of fun!
