Seems like either the CHAD or Botnia will get it done for guys looking for the bleeding edge of aggressive brakes (and allegedly the Preece Stinger or the DN5 getting close for a lot less loot).
But caveat emptor, that concussion comes with a cost to your health, hearing for sure, the headache and feeling beat up stuff is real too IME.
You can’t hide from concussion, ear pro or not, it shakes the shit out of one’s inner ear and makes you deaf faster, facts.
I’ve been running an ACE with their cone of shame for a while and it’s a pussycat and does enough. Does it reduce recoil as much as the others? No. But IMO it’s the next best thing to the braked-cans that are now starting to get interesting (like that Magnus/RecoilX, etc). I just bring it up because some guys might prefer how calm it is behind the gun with a setup like mine or a different approach to just going full blow your hair back… playing with gun weight and working on better fundamentals can close most of the gap in performance for most I bet.
I always have double ear pro when around these guns (custom plugs under gel-cup Sordins’) and hope the rest of you guys do to. Everyone’s needs are different I guess, but for me I want a balance of the best performance I can get, without going deaf faster than I have to. YMMV.
Brakes are fun though now and again, maybe it’s just a choice of whether you want one that looks like a dildo or a spaceship?
