Imagine what those 2 trillions could have done for American domestic agenda.
Could have been invested in the American infrastructure creating hundreds of thousands of blue collar jobs ?
Could have been invested in the health care system ?
Could have been invested in education so that it doesn’t cost 500,000 to get a STEM degree?
Could have been invested in ressources for homelessness and drug addictions?

Once leaders obtain their goal(s), they nix any resistance. The goal must be maintained/respected, or, their worth is minimalized and they can't have that, can they ("they", being a general term)? Is that every C-17 in the fleet? Not quite, I think we have 120 of them; but this is no doubt an emergency evac. Don't have that much transport air power and refueling unless it's pretty much on the "too late" side of things.
Add dozens of civilian jets all packed over the capacity before civilian flights were suspended all together.

I just found out my brother-in-law is home from Afghanistan where he was working security at the embassy. I don't know how he was injured but he's back stateside with an injury that will require surgery.
