Hey guys... and gals (just in case.) I'm new here, so hello. I was curious about something. I have an older Colt Match Target Hbar (carry handle) with the large take down pin. I am looking to make this into more of a monolithic type set up. I want a decent flat top receiver, but most of the one's I'm coming accross have the M4 feed ramp, and if they are the correct one for my rifle... they cost an arm and a leg. I'm looking for a good 500+ yard shooter and mounting on a carry handle, well it seems hard to keep zero'd that way. Any advice that wont break the bank? I need a decent rifle length quad rail also. This gun was a wedding present and I am looking to put more money and seriousness into a good 800-1000+ yarder. Plus I just picked up my Kimber Pro Carry TLE and the wife about killed me over that sticker. Thanks. -Steve

Re25 has it right with the DD upper. After that, if you want to save money but still get a good rail, consider looking into a Troy battlerail. They're relatively inexpensive, but rock solid. There are other inexpensive options available like Midwest Industries and YHM, but I'm partial to Troy for the "sub-$300" category.
