Detachable mag for 700?

Since the 300 wm only holds 3+1 but don't like to carry loaded when hiking up and down the mountains with a round in the chamber. So question is can you feel it digging into you at all while its on a sling on a long walk or hike ? The extra 2 rounds would be nice for when we come across pigs on the run, or the aoudad that always seem to 1 up us!

I have never really paid attention to that honestly. So I would assume no you don't feel it once you are use to it.

How much you feel would be dependent on your sling setup. You could install flush cups into the side of your stock and then use a TAB gear sling. You would not feel the mag, or the bolt.
