    First post

The other night, I made up a ghillie cover for my rifle.
I used Multicam Omega mesh for the base bacterial.
I cut the barrel piece long enough to come back under the optics a little bit and held in place with an elastic loop on the muzzle end and a Velcro strap around the forestock.
The optics cover is taper cut to expose the bolt and ejection port, and the offside is tapered a little bit so my hand doesn't foul up when holding the rifle.
The optics cover is held in place with elastic loops either end but also allows enough freedom in the mesh so I can still adjust my focus/zoom/AO with ease.
It is tacked to the barrel mesh at the same point the Velcro goes around the forestock.

I stitched rows of AUSCAM/DPCU cotton material along it and also strips of gutted paracord so I can add veg/jute for adjustable effect. As it is now will work well in 95% of the places I shoot around my part of Australia.
This also matches in with the ghillie hood I made up a while ago using the same method of stitching rows of material and then tearing it into small strips.

    G'day mate

I import them from the US for my small business. The Auscam material I used was a bit left over from when I made my ghillie hood, which I grabbed a few metres of from spotlight or ebay. Getting hard to find now that the army hasn't used Auscam for a few years now

    Nice looking cover!
We made a few back in the mid 60's using GI socks. They were undetectable on all the shoulder fired weapons we put them on, an a few belt feds. Not a weapon could be found past 20 feet, by guys who knew what they were looking for.

Not so fast....I live in the communist state of Kommiefornia
We have the Commie/Socialist of state of Kommifornia and the nearly as oppressionist state of Color0fornia (some call it Calorado). Hawaii should secede and become its own island nation (except its population would then live in poverty with no US federal funds). I could mention the equally shitty states of Western Oregon and Western Washington. I'd like for California to secede and have fences (walls) built like we are building on our southern border, of course, we could keep the military bases...and then require passports and such for travel to/from said state-nation. The USA could even charge the commie-socialist bastards for their defense and if they don't like that, we could boycott and sanction all of their "trade".

I’ve had family that moved from Texas and lived in Australia 15 years ago and they said it was awesome. Sad to see the politicians are making terrible decisions like in California and the highly populated areas of America.
I love Texas and hope the tide changes for you Aussies.

Edit to show to picture since tinypic stopped hosting...

Not a very good photo, but this is my Ghillie hood done in a similar style to the above cover for the rifle. Photo taken doing dress up for a Bin Isolation group on facebook dressed in some of the military gear I make at my home business. lol
