About 15 years ago I was out checking the mailbox at work. Until then we had allowed local pd to train in our parking lots and run dogs in a few buildings. A string of cop cars rolled by, the first three guys honked or waved. Cop number 4 glares like a mental case. I waved. He slams on the brakes, roasts the tires in reverse, skids to a stop gun drawn and screaming "SHOW ME YOUR HANDS!!!!!!!" I look around and see only me. I raise my hands and he screams, "GET ON THE GROUND NOW!!!!" I looked at the slush and puddles and said, " Fuck you shoot me."
Second deluded cop arrives, same game. It took ten minutes to calm them down. I was safer in Iraq. As I triggered the gate, asshole cop #1 says, "Sorry man, I saw you had a radio and thought you needed help." I told him to fuck himself and ended the law enforcement use of the property.
The PD called me and when I mentioned his name, they said, " Oh, that guy again." My replacement as foreman was a black guy. To this day they are not allowed on the property. The business uses private security and has for years.
I moderately support law enforcement. I'd never trust them to do the right thing.
