So this was the week of the big Online Sniper Conference... we were streaming it at Schloss Nitrocellulose much of the week...

Frank's talk about SnipersHide and the online community was really excellent. And he gave some really great numbers and facts and, well, compliments to our thousands of members. Though I am sure he was not talking about the Bear Pit. ;-)

All in all, a great presentation and it is folks here who make things happen! Well done! Not sure if the whole proceedings is captured or viewable. But worth watching. A fantastic effort on behalf of a really amazing group of the professionals who make this profession (for some) and hobby (for others) an amazing place to be right now.

Well done!

Seconds... It's always nice to see your own people making it happen, ain't it? Like seeing my buddies place in the Top Sniper Comp. at Benning. Makes me proud.

And yeah, pretty sure he wasn't thinking of the 'Pit when he said that.
And yet the 'Pit is what keep some really knowledgeable folks involved. It may be a s*1+ show... but its OUR $#1+ show!

The reality is that folks who stay engaged help in core areas that make this place an incredible resource. The Reloading sections alone are some of the best on the Interwebs. Going back to "Doc" and his primers. And even (especially) todays folks in everything from load development to troubleshooting.

Then add in stuff in gunsmithing, vintage/history, Bolt and Semi... There is a lot of talent here.

If Sniper's Hide is a starship... The Bear Pit houses the communications array.

The Pit is not the command bridge or the main weapons deck, but when bad shit explodes somewhere in space, people turn to the Pit for the comm pulses... And plus, the Pit is located right next to the engine bay. The propulsion experts and tool jockeys hang out in there, drink beers, play cards, and talk about antimatter physics when the Hide is on autopilot and cruising in hyperspace...

I’m constantly amazed at the vast pool of knowledge her at the Hide. Gun related or not, ask a question and somebody here is probably an expert.
I’m kinda like the band nerd that thinks he has a chance with the prom queen. You guys are outta my league.

Sincerely thanks 🙏

There are quite few they don’t post a whole lot but when they do Pay Attention
True. Another notable: Ted Karaijus (I know I butchered that last name, sorry Ted) of American Rifle company, designer of the Mausingfield, Archimedes and Nuke rifle actions responded to a question about scope rings. I could keep going but that's not the point of the thread. Last I'll say is this place is great! It's the final word on the internet for all things firearms.

@lowlight
Thank you for everything you have done with this.
The hide has seen me through a shit marriage and a shit show of raising my son with an ex that doesn't give a shit.
This place has more great information than anything on the internet the hell with Google and YouTube. Ask the hide. If someone is full of shirt we call them on it nicely lol. When you have people here like Frank, Mr green, Chad, Mike R. And probably 100 more experts in their craft its amazing the knowledge you can gain.
The people I respect and think of as friends that I have never met that are on here are many.
Thank you to all that make this place great.

folks can say what they want about the pit...but if you want the pulse of what’s happening out there, you will be ahead of the curve if you are watching the pit. i believe it was in mid january that talk of the corona virus first started here? who the fuck else was talking about it then?

and then add in all the local accounts of what-ever-the-fuck. with “reporting” as corrupt as it is, one is far better off watching the pit than the news.

Very grateful to Frank and the people on this site . I'm amazed at the experience , expertise and the ability to act like adults compared to some of the uptight bs out there . You don't need to be a real estate agent to realize that I bring down the property value here and I'm grateful .
