I'm in the middle of a .308 build right now and I was wanting to try and keep as many similarities between my two systems, in regards to manipulation, as I could. (my other rifle is an AE MK III in .260 rem) looking around the interwebs, I found the PT&G 3 position safety kit and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it. I haven't seen anyone with one in their build and I was just looking for some feedback. Does it work as advertised? Is it very difficult to fit? Are there any better alternatives?

Thanks in advance.

I looked into one of these. If you call PTG, Dave Kiff will put you in touch with a man who will fit them. About a year ago, Dave told me that PTG did not even include installation instructions. The installation and kit are pricey.

Also, check reviews of what others say about the 3-pos safety. I was torqued about getting it on my rifle, but cooled to it later. Yes, they are sexy as prom queen, but there are some that have had bad luck with them.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll do a little more searching for some reviews before I make any big decisions. Thanks again.
