F T/R Competition F open front rest?

For those that use a rest for F open, which style of rest do you prefer, the joystick type or the marineer wheel style ? If anyone has used both , but prefer one style over the other, what qualities of the rest do you prefer over the other style? I have a caldweld br rest, but would like to upgrade . I was looking at a JJ front rest, but also read the Farley rest with the joystick was easier to adjust while shooting, and thought I would ask for some input.

It is all based on personal preference. I shoot F-T/R, but I have close friends that shoot Open. A few use the mariner type and a few use the joysticks. These are guys that can afford to buy whatever they want, so it is a personal choice. You should see if anyone local will let you borrow one and decide which you like more. If I were in your shoes, I would be looking at a Viper or 21st Century for the Mariner wheel type, and the SEB NEO for the joystick type.
