Re: Falcon Menace. Any luck with those???
Bought one 3 or so years ago when they were the only inexpensive FFP around. Still have it, but it's not impressive. The glass is far outclassed by my hunting scope, a Vortex Diamondback. The eyebox is VERY touchy and unforgiving, and the tracking isn't spot on either. It is repeatable, but not exactly .1 mils when tested. It has held and returned to zero since purchased, no complaints on durability with mine.
The short answer given above is the best to-the-point response you could ask for: get something else. It's a decent scope with cool features, but there are better choices out there for not mch more money.
EDIT: I don't have my 4-14FFP mounted anymore, so it had been awhile since I looked at it when I wrote the above. Dusting it off, I'll take back the statement that it's "outclassed" by my Diamondback. Looking through both, The Falcon is clearer from edge to edge, and resolves better. However, the Falcon is not as bright, and in comparison seems dark versus other scopes. The eyebox IS touchy, I stand by that. Just trying to clear up my statements for people considering a Falcon.
