This is a recently produced (SMG guns Texas) semi automatic version of the WW2 German paratrooper rifle. This weapon was amazing for a number of reasons. It fired from a closed bolt on semiautomatic and an open bolt on full auto. It is shorter than an AR15 carbine and fires the full powered 7.92 German service round. It was produced from stamped parts including the receiver. The action was taken from the Lewis gun. It is topped by a ZF-4 scope. Troops armed with these gave our boys a very difficult time at Monte Casino. The genuine article will set you back 100k. Only several hundred are known. Ricks repops are machined out of an 8 lb block of forged tool steel!
