Today I figured it was time to put up or shut up (again). I stopped drinking soda and eating more healthy almost three weeks ago with the full on intent of starting to exercise as well. Ran 1.5 miles in 18 minutes, not bad for being a couch jockey. In the fall of 07' I was 220 and dropped down to 186 in 6.5 weeks working out 6 days a week and keeping a very strict diet. I leveled out at 190 which I was able to stay at for about 2 years when I stopped working out due to lack of time. Now I am up to 230, I am not doing the same regimen just sticking to running, the heavy bag, push ups, sit ups, and pull ups.

I am hoping to get back down to 180-190, I'll let yall know how it works out.

Re: Finally got off the couch today.

Get out there and run.

Take the injuries and just live with them.

Run, make it your zen and your life will improve.

Sucks to get to a good spot and then slack off and get back on the lazy bandwagon.

sounds like a plan. I don't know much about P90x other than I have a cousin who has never touched a weight since is started doing p90x type workouts a couple of years ago and is freakin' yolked. He swears up and down he saw more gains than with lifting weights.

Re: Finally got off the couch today.

Four days running with a sunday off, and have shaved 2 minutes off of my mile time down to 10:00 flat. Can't till a 10 minute while feels like a warm up run.

Re: Finally got off the couch today.

excercise is addicting, once you get past the first 4-5 days and get that chemical out of your muscles and start feeling the endorphines kicking in - it's awesome.

Then going without for a day or two, if you are like me you get grumpy!
