Hello, I have had my FN for a couple years now and for whatever reason decided to do a drop test on the trigger after cleaning the other day and when dropped from about a foot the sear will trip about %50 of the time. The pull weight is right at 2 1/2 lbs the rifle weights appx. 13 lbs. Is this ok or should it be able to take that fall? Thanks in advance.

I have the a3g action on my gap built 308. I had a coworker send me one of is honed triggers. After installing it and dropping the weight down to 1.5lbs it will withstand a good 2ft drop on concrete and it never goes off. My recomondation is to take it to a good gunsmith and have him hone the sear and get a lighter spring. Youll be good to go.
