I have submitted applications for 3 silencers and then realized that I didn't include a copy of my trust with them. I've left a message with the W.VA mailbox (I'm in Texas), but they haven't returned my calls.

How do I send them copies of my trust and have them add them to the appropriate application that's in Q?

Anyone done this before? How did you resolve it?

thanks in advance!

I don't know for sure, but they will probably just send you and error letter when they get around to looking at your forms. Then you will just send them a copy of your trust when that happens, but with the way things have been going as of late, I could be way off.

Call back until you talk to a living, breathing person. Give them the serial numbers of the items submitted and see if they are in process or pending yet. If they have cashed your check the package has been opened. Tell them your mistake and ask who to send it to and you should get some help. Keep info on who you talked to.

First form I sent in with a trust did not have a "schedule A" with it and they sat on it. I did not find out what the holdup was until calling. Examiner I talked to was helpful and let me fax him the schedule A to expedite the process. Point is, call and talk to someone, you may be surprised. Good luck!

They will usually kick it back to the dealer or transferor and ask that they provide supplementary documents. It usually only adds about a week or so to the wait time from our experience; however, with the ATF, nothing is consistent.
