I have a new in box Colt CRM16A1 for sale. The rifle comes exactly as it did from the factory with all accessories and is in new, unfired condition. There were only 2500 of these rifles produced. VERY cool piece if you're into vintage AR's. I hate to sell it, but there is something else on my radar. $2,000 shipped to your FFL.

Thanks guys. It has the original style 3 prong flash hider that they stopped using because GI's were damaging their barrels using them to tear the straps off of ammo cans in the box as well. Another interesting fact: Colt used serial numbers from original Vietnam issued rifles on each of the 2500 built and added a "V" to the end of them. Just a cool piece all the way around.

Still for sale. Evidently the buyer on HKPRO thought he was getting a fully automatic transferable M16 for $2,000.

    What year was this produced?

I'm not certain, but if memory serves me correctly these guns started production around 2016. I'm certain Colt could tell you based on the serial number.

That is 100% BS. Colt released a press release stating that they aren't stopping anything for the civilian market. They are simply focusing on fulfilling current LE/Mil contracts and have enough civilian rifles on hand to fill orders until they fulfill the contracts.

    ^^^^^^
What he said all they are saying is there is enough stock to not produce for civi market and they are going to fill Govt and LE contracts, this was a damn media reporter trying to makes news and put his foot in his mouth colt released a statement staing the correction

I sure hope that's the case. The way I interpreted the press release was that Colt would continue to supply their dealers with expanding lines of the finest quality 1911s and revolvers with no mention of continuing to supply them with modern sporting rifles.

"Company Response to Questions about Colt Participation in Consumer Markets

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (September 19th, 2019) – There have been numerous articles recently published about Colt’s participation in the commercial rifle market. Some of these articles have incorrectly stated or implied that Colt is not committed to the consumer market. We want to assure you that Colt is committed to the Second Amendment, highly values its customers and continues to manufacture the world’s finest quality firearms for the consumer market.
The fact of the matter is that over the last few years, the market for modern sporting rifles has experienced significant excess manufacturing capacity. Given this level of manufacturing capacity, we believe there is adequate supply for modern sporting rifles for the foreseeable future.
On the other hand, our warfighters and law enforcement personnel continue to demand Colt rifles and we are fortunate enough to have been awarded significant military and law enforcement contracts. Currently, these high-volume contracts are absorbing all of Colt’s manufacturing capacity for rifles. Colt’s commitment to the consumer markets, however, is unwavering. We continue to expand our network of dealers across the country and to supply them with expanding lines of the finest quality 1911s and revolvers.
At the end of the day, we believe it is good sense to follow consumer demand and to adjust as market dynamics change. Colt has been a stout supporter of the Second Amendment for over 180 years, remains so, and will continue to provide its customers with the finest quality firearms in the world.

    Very respectfully,
Dennis Veilleux, President and Chief Executive Officer

the fact of the matter is in that statement Colt states there is a adequate supply for the future means there are sitting on overstock, so they are temporarly shifting to LE MIL comtracts they have done this before
