The red thing is The Golden Mean.... which is an artistic and geometric device invented by Leonardo to help create perfect paintings, drawings and renderings.I studied the pic and not getting it. No bear is that fat and don't understand the red thing.

Want to kill an hour with an incredible video? This explains it really well:
Ed has built several rifles for me. He is a retired Navy Submarine sailor and built his first rifle on a cruise. He is now one of the best in America.
His sense of proportion and scale are... well... explained by that video.
As for the bear... probably a California Dumpster bear. Massively fat. Just eats off Lake Tahoe scraps.
Cheers,

You'd think for the coin people drop on boats they'd get one that isn't taking on water.
From observation, 2,000 lbs + can accelerate from 0 to 30 mph long before you can even get out an 'Oh Shit', let alone an 'Oh shit I'm f'd'. They are cute from a ' y'all ain't from around here' perspective, but they are definitely not amused with your skinny jeans. Oh by the way, these guys (and gals) are rather tame compared to the moose. Again, from experience DO NOT get between a cow and her calf.Fluffy cows are not your friends. Even domesticated ones are far from what a good cow is.
If they wouldn't remove them. I'd post signs that say Pet the Fluffy Cows Pictures Here.We were in Yellowstone about a month ago. Since then about 6-7 people have been stomped by Buffalo.... Don't pet the wild animals.
And a reminder to visitors that bears HATE bacon grease, so apply it liberally to your clothes, hat, packs, etc. They say that you can't fix stupid. Why would you discourage an activity that's very entertaining and trying to do what can't be done?

Continuing on the Golden ratio or fibonacci sequence.
This bear is definitely not as fat as that one but he has had a balanced diet of dog food and doughnuts. Some lady was feeding him. Fish and wildlife had to trap him and take him up in the Olympic mountains. That is one fat-assed bear... damn. I mean... obese isn't even close!

Rolled though here too. Had some pea size hail with the rain and wind; power went out for a few minutes, then flashed for a bit. The flag pole mount for my wife's Korean flag snapped off, that's the extent of damage here. What part of MD are you in? We're in Harford County.OH SNAP!

Last week after spending 8 hours in an attic I arrived home to find a storm had blown down my chicken run. Luckily the neighbor came by and put the chickens up. When I saw it. All I could think about was that the chickens were crushed under it.
98 degrees and heat index of 110 and all I wanted was a beer. Nope, a few more hours of fixing stuff.

Not yet. I'm unfortunately in Maryland at the moment, but I'm working on making the jump down south. Aiming for Texas but Arkansas would be okay I guess. Just need to do some networking. Your buddy know any good rental agents?Arkansas? Buddy just posted a video on another forum with hail busting through a stamped metal grating over his screen door.
