View attachment 7987070 A few years ago, a buddy restored one of these for a Baker Electric.
Charging station was found intact in a house in Ct. or RI. It is 220 Volts. And there is not a single shield, cover or protection. Everything is knife switches. All mounted on a granite block. Weighs half a ton. Was as complicated as restoring a small car!
But talk about gorgeous when done. All shiny brass and actually works like a charm
At least the charging stations had style back then. Even if the cars were as useless as they are today!
Sirhr
PS notice the woman using it. Electric cars were marketed to women and children (yes children) because the gas cars were Too dangerous for them. So it was thought. And for driving to the cotillion or through the park showing off your finery to the other bimbos… an electric car was just fine. No dude would have driven one back then. They burned to death like men!!
