Been a LONG journey with getting my M3 to be a consistent slug shooter...but it is performing well now..

It is a genuine sub moa gun when conditions are good ( ie no wind) ..

Shot these this arvo....

110 yds
NSA 27.5 218" @1060fps
Main target ...6 consecutive 3 shot groups ......gentle undulating breeze.
2 exceptional groups at the 110yds..... 3 shot and 5 shot..

Any tips or tricks, I have an M3 that I am interested in shooting slugs in as well

Posted this on the AGN forum...but also putting it here for those interested..

Been a long journey with my M3 , but as of late in this configuration its become quite enjoyable.

I have a small range set up for the Airgun in the side paddock , very handy as i can just wander out the back and sling a few shots when weather conditions are ideal.. I have plates set out from 100 yds to 500 yds.

This morning a good friend of mine who shoots ELR regularly with me ( Powder Guns) took the M3 out to 500 yds. Weather conditions were excellent...overcast almost still with very little breeze.

He fired a total of 40 shots at the 10" plate ( 2 moa 500yds) ... there were 22 hits......so just over 50% strike rate on a 2moa plate at 500yds...... Great result for the M3.
....Also..... a fair majority of misses were very very close to impacting the plate !!

Slugs are NSA 27.5gr 218" @ 1060fps.. .

Just on 134 Moa of elevation needed at that distance.

Which liner? What length?
Gun settings? etc.
I have been doing well with the NSA 31.2 at 1000 fps with the 800mm 22 superior heavy. 150 BAR

I don't believe you can get that kind of velocity from an M3 right out of the box. What parts did you change to get that? And what reg settings please? Oh, and number of shots per fill.
