Hello Everyone, I retired form the California Department of Corrections Sept. 30 after 23 years of service and thought I’d reward myself with this baby, acquired from my buddy the armory officer at work, the work was done by GAP it’s on a Rem 700 .308 with AICS W/two sets of skins, 3-10 Rnd. and 2-5 Rnd. Mags, Leupold 30mm 3.5-10x40 LRT, 20 MOA TPS scope base mount and Burris Xtreme rings and hard case.
Thanks for looking, Ed

PS I was planning on doing 25 but the Valley Fever got me and the Lord spared my life, so now I’ll enjoy the fruits of my labor, family, friends and the rest of my life as the Lord allows me.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your retirement with that stick. Very nice indeed.

You must have worked up at Pleasant Valley or nearby. A good friend came down with Valley Fever after shooting a state championship at Coalinga. He had a pretty rough go with it and it took a while for him to get over it. Anyways, cheers to your service and retirement.

The scope was on a AI unitized mount that was too low, I couldn't even see through the scope, now it's just right, for me.

Range report to come!!

That is the way to go out with a bang! I haven't gotten out of college yet and want to retire already looking at that thing. Congrats!

Thanks Ed. It looks like it might be one of those coatings that they dip the stock into it. Not sure what they call it exactly but that one looks great.
