I just sold an AR on gun broker and got an email from the buyer that he would not complete the transaction because the gun was not CA legal and I am not responding fast enough to his email. WTF I responded in 2.5hours. The ad never said CA legal. I did a quick look around and saw alot of the ar's with high bids are from people with no feedback. That I expected as it is the idiots running around paying rediculous prices.
Any of you guys having issues getting people to follow thru?
I am pulling the listing. I only wanted to sell it to fund a new 308 based ar build that I cant afford to start now with all the prices being doubled.

That must be the reason why I've had so many non-paying bidders (about 15% of all completed auctions) for car parts and electronics on eBay.

Occum's Razor seems to have gotten pretty dull as of late...

Re: GB non paying bidders

That sort of thing is happening on this forum more frequently.
A buyer with 1-25 posts does an I'll take it, gets your payment info, and is never heard from again.
On this forum I quit responding to buyers with less than 300 posts.

Re: GB non paying bidders

A lot of people are bidding on the ridiculous priced AR's, Mags, Etc (not saying yours is/was) and reneging just to stick it to the gougers.

Re: GB non paying bidders

I ordered a Colt 6920 the day after the shooting for $1,100. I have still not received the rifle and have been told by the seller he is just swamped with orders and is running behind and he will ship it when he gets caught up. That is bullshit, he is just selling what he has at inflated prices and will get to me if he can when things calm down. I am pretty pissed off right now. I wonder if it would help at all to complain to GB? Maybe they can threaten to kick him off the site.

Re: GB non paying bidders

Mine sold for a reasonable price compared to others on there. I just decided to keep it. I only wanted to sell to fund a 308 reciever based .260 gun but with the current prices on parts that is on hold anyway.
on a side note, I listed 1000rds of 9mm largo ammo I have no use for. I have had a ton of requests for shipping quotes. I checked ups and their quick quote page wont work so I used fed ex. it was $3 higher than I guessed for ups ($28.05 was the last one). Sent out the quotes and explained that I thought ups would be a couple bucks cheaper but the site was not working for the quick quotes. no one sent me their address, just the zip.
I already got 2 nasty emails saying I was gouging on the shipping price and they were going to report me to GB???? Really, $28 shipping for 34# does not seem bad to me. I just got a box of 500 300gr .338SMK's from brunos and shipping was 24.07
I did not think to limit buyers to x ammount of feedbacks. I will in the future.

By having your reserve or starting bid price insanely high, simple eh?
