General question about Brakes (timing)

might not make a difference in performance, but it doesn't sit well with a lot of peoples OCD lol.

but yes it would be handy on more brakes. some companies do. or sometimes the way the baffles are shaped you can lay a small spirit level inside the brake.

for my area 419 I hold a spirit level insert up to the lines on the front of the brake and use that to get it as close as i can.

Heathen has a machined flat on the bottom of the brake.

You can also get creative and put something through the "gills"/slots of the brake, such as a wooden dowel rod, and use your bubble level on that.

I have deliberately tweaked my Area 419 Hellfire out of perfect alignment and it makes Jack Shit difference. Remove it and the whole POI changes *but* once I am zero'd it changes nothing if 20 - 40 degrees out of timed.

What do you know lol. I've noticed mine off slightly at matches throughout the year and i didn't even check zero...did just fine.

I've had a couple of my thunder beast cb brakes timed by different smiths, and they both came back with the thunder beast emblem on the front upside down. Drives me crazy!

It’s also probably one of the worst-designed QD systems available. Might as well throw it in the trash. As a brake alone I guess it’s fine - not that it’s an exceptionally good brake either - but definitely not for use with a can.

Thanks for that detailed and in-depth review. At least now I know what I won't be getting you for Christmas.

Only if youre a retard that doesnt loosen the lock before tightening it down.

Easy killer. I’ve seen 2-3 cans get launched halfway down range after being tightened correctly. Carbon builds up and the teeth wear out. Sorry if that hurt your feelings.

I’ve got an extra if you want it!
