Good .308 Ball load

I have a bunch of surplus .308 brass and 147gr bullets I'd like to use for a decent ball load. What spherical powder will give me good results? This ammo will be for a scoped FAL. I'd like it to be able to maintain "minute of man" to about 500-600 yards. I'll be using WLR primers.

The "NRA" load of 45.5 WW748 always worked just fine for me.

Bullet quality seems to affect accuracy a LOT more than powder or charge weight, with the 147s.
