Agree that Omega Man may be “the best” overall, but Book of Eli was really good for me, maybe even more than The Road (book was better on that one though), which I loved.
All the Mad Max movies were entertaining, but not really good movies IMHO.

The original Mad Max Trilogy was pretty unique in that it really captured what the area would be like in the beginning and then a fair bit after an end of civilization breakdown event.
The beginning montage of Omega Man was probably one of the best ever, the rest of the movie was kind of iffy but the beginning was truly epic.

The first two Planet of the Apes movies with Charleton Heston were also pretty original and epic.
Especially that scene where he's pounding the ground when he sees the mostly buried statue of Liberty and he figures out that he's on Earth and what probably happened.

Mad Max - Fury Road wasn’t bad . Water town Gas Town and Bullet town .
I include Red Dawn in the genre- of course the original not that piece of fuck remake .

Wish A. American (pin name) ever gets off his ass and moves forward with his movie project about his book series "Going Home". If one is ever made about the book "One Second After" or the "Dark Road" series they would be good as long as they're true to the books.

I liked it. The book was written by David Brin. An excellent near term sci-fi author. Read “Earth”.

actually "i am legend" is a great effort,esp after the covid abomination. it has a rather believable scenario which our idiot elites and "scientists" are still fucking around with.

Fury Road plot has max tied to the front of a car for like half the movie and then the other half are a bunch of dumb cunts in a water truck and what’s her name with grease on her forehead.
