There is an almost limitless pool to choose from . If I had to chose I'd go with Charlton Heston in Omega Man .

Wish A. American (pin name) ever gets off his ass and moves forward with his movie project about his book series "Going Home". If one is ever made about the book "One Second After" or the "Dark Road" series they would be good as long as they're true to the books.
Solarbabies, Cherry 2000, City Limits, Cyborg 1 and 2, Radioactive Dreams, Bakshi's Wizards, Death Race 2000, Delicatessen, Johnny Mnemonic, Hell Comes to Frogtown
Idiocracy.
I liked it. The book was written by David Brin. An excellent near term sci-fi author. Read “Earth”.The Postman was actually good! Tom petty cameo was great!

Sheesh, that was raw.The Survivalist 2015 british film , pretty realistic. Worth the watch but not like any end of world you have seen.
“She had good taste” lolmy personal pic as the best of the genre
1. The Road
2. Fury Road
3. The Road Warrior.
Honorable Mention- The Book of Eli.
I'm sure I'm missing a few but those are the ones that have stuck with me. The Road affected me the most. It hits hard.
It's difficult for me to put Fury Road over The Road Warrior as The Road Warrior is what sparked my interest in the post apocalyptic movie genre. But I feel that Fury Road is a better overall movie.
