Problem :
Factory supplied Vortex throw lever obscures line of sight of the RMR at middle of travel.
Solution : Dremel and a bench to lock it stationary. In this case a Workmate. (And a beer) 😉.

Result : Super clean cut and dehorning . The stubby lever is now low and just as fast done with tools found laying around my garage.

Highly recommend using gloves. Heat build-up on aluminum is substantial.

Don't be afraid to think out of the box. Make it work....

These days are full of limitations on supply chain and product unavailability. I guess I'm trying to say don't throw in the towel if you can't get something. Modify if possible and be self reliant.

Unfortunately hard times may be coming.
