I'm thinking more that an organized local meet up would be fun, and it would offer a little crowd-sourcing for info on finding a longer range to meet and shoot (my local club is only ~215yds)

Once a month Tacoma Sportsman has a 600 yard shoot. Good bunch of guys always show up for that. Down in Eatonville, the Nisqually range goes out to 550, I believe.

Thats only a 2 hours drive if my gf is behind the wheel definitely wanna try and get out there. Hopefully they can get some training on the calendar that I can get out to.

Not sure where your at but the Quincy gun club has steel to 600 and I had a few pieces on the back fence that was over 800 yards.
I loved that range.
