Been doing some reading, figured I'd say hello. Just in case the
SN didn't give it away, I'm Brad. I'm a prison guard from PA. Few years USMC, PA gunsmith school graduate, overall just like to shoot. Signed up here as the forum I've been on before seems to be on a steady decline. Never heard of this place till tonight and after some browsing decided to pop in and story it

EDIT: sorry for a couple spelling issues. I did that on my tablet last night and sometimes it's harder to use than it should be when you type

Re: hi all

Welcome aboard! Always nice to see a new face. If you have any problems, shoot a PM to BOLTRIPPER, he's always ready to help newbies.

Re: hi all

Welcome to the Hide. Watch out for VaJayJayPunisher when he finds out about your line of work. He's fond of his prison purse.

Re: hi all

Welcome, if you're on the West side of PA you're not that far from two 1000 yard ranges. Rayners and Thunder Valley Precision near Zanesville. Maybe see ya at one of them this summer.

I'm SW, about a half hr south of Pittsburgh in Washington. I've moved around a lot, came back here so I'm trying to get the idea where everything is. Strangely I didn't find a lot of stuff when I was 16

Re: hi all

Matches will start up 4th Sunday of every month starting in February.

They shoot out there nearly every weekend.

We venture out to Rayners quite often in decent weather. It's OK to go out thru the week and on weekends if there isn't any other matches running. Great place to shoot and costs $10.00 for the day to practice.

Link showing the targets shot in a match to give you an idea of what to expect:

And at one of the matches:

A group of shooters are planning a get together around May 5th for a fun day of practice at Rayners. I think some are from over in PA.
