I got a Beanland build in the works (should touch down here in a month) utilizing a TL2. With all the talk of AI's ruling the roost and Rem 700 clones failing short in the reliability department, I'm very curious to hear how they are holding up? In the past they got excellent reviews, but now that the dust has settled and end users have ran em a few seasons I'd love to hear some first hand experience...

    Thanks for your time guys.

I wouldn't let the talk in the AI action thread scare you off, I've heard people like them. I'm sure if they were failing, we'd hear about here. I'm sure you'll be quite happy when you take delivery and start competing with it.

I'm on my second barrel on A.J.s older action. 2800 rounds down the old tube in the
Some of the worst dust and dirt N.M. and Co. Offer. Had my plumber look over the action
and lugs real well. He told me it had virtually no wear, no scratches! I am guilty of probably
running too much lube. I have to wipe the bolt and races down sometimes half
way through a match when it's really bad out. I have a new one on a 7saum with
only couple hundred rounds down range, but I expect the same. In my opinion
it is the best action available period! I did see a Bighorn at another gun plumber
that the owner abused by running it completely dry at a match. No Bueno!

On my second barrel. Have a friend with at least 3 barrels on both of his. Never a problem! Very accurate actions without a doubt.

This year I shot at the Las Vegas match and had my best finish of my life, a 4th. Def cant blame any of the misses on the rifle.

7000+ rounds on this action, shot it in some very dusty/dirty matches. At Beanlands right now for another re-barrel. Beanland/Bighorn can't go wrong there!

This is reassuring news guys... not that I have any doubt in AJ's ability to build a fine action, but just curios if there are any short coming to this 700 clone.

I wouldn't call it a clone either, footprint yes, clone, not even close IMO.

Bighorn in the hands of J. Beanland. Don't think you could
    Do any better!
Bighorn is in a class of its own!
Don't think after owning a Bighorn, that I would use
Any other action on a new build.

Buster, what calibers are in that a beautiful collection . I think you have us humbled. Nice optics to go with those beauties

Starting with closest to the camera
    22-250
    6.5 SAUM
    22-243
    6.5x47 Lapua
    6 X 47 Lapua

Here is a 6th Bighorn but it was not built by Jon. Greg Young built it for me

Jon has two more rifles with Bighorn at his shop now waiting for him to work his magic

BH, did you ever think about doing a switch barrel set up for that 6.5 saum?

I'm going with a .260 rem but have plans to have Jon spin up a 6.5 saum and buy the applicable bolt head...

    nice collection

No I haven't considered a switch barrel with this one
