If you find that intriguing and/or thought provoking, I'd point you to the book "Starting Strength" (there's a cheap kindle version available). It goes into the kinematics of each of the lifts, describing the lever/fulcrum interactions of the kinetic chain (bones and muscles) used in each of the major olympic lifts. A very detailed and data rich tome of information.
