As the lengthy thread title states, my suppressor application is now with an examiner. I've been calling about once per week for the past 6 weeks and getting the same story... "pending". Last week I called and was told I'm with an examiner. Does it go pretty quickly at this point? (assuming the whole silencershop/docusign nightmare doesn't creep up)? My check was cashed 12/5/18. Getting antsy... Curious if anyone knows more about this phase.

All three of our trusts suppressors approved this year took 15 months from the time the check was cashed. I called many times as well and 2 of them the ATF never indicated had been assigned to an examiner but were approved weeks later. Their system is obviously flawed and the fact that yours is with an examiner means exactly nothing. Good luck
The check(s) for mine were cashed about the same time as yours (bought the day after thanksgiving). I've had both for about 2 months. Wrote the check and "forgot" about it. Every time you call, they put your paperwork on the bottom of the pile...
Dude... You will get it when you get it. Nothing you can say or do will speed up the process...buy more hosts and ammo.
I called on a Monday morning...at that time it was “Pending”...by the end of day Friday of the same week...I was Approved.

And that is how I know you dont own one, let alone maybe never tried one.
Once you have, you will dislike almost hate shooting without one.
The trick is to be so occupied with daily life you don't have time to think about shit that is not relevant to the last 12 hrs or the next 12.
Twice my FFL has called that I could come get my suppressor. For the first 30 sec, I was asking him WTF you talking about. 9 months has gone by?? Fuck I dont remember 9 days ago.
My point was that it's absolutely insane that something so simple takes so long. Form 1s are coming back in less than a month, processed by the same people.

Simply a case of not enough people to do the job along with a whole lot more people wanting them as the benefits become more well known.
That still doesn't explain why Form 4s are so far behind Form 1s. Even firm 1 e-file requires paperwork to be mailed in and processed.
