I've been thinking about a piston AR and looking at offerings and came across these guys, Huldra Arms -the guy in the video with long mane is Stewart Mills. His family owns Mills Fleet Farms, similar to Cabelas but sells agriculture stuff. He's an avid 3-gunner and the story I get is he's behind intro/development of the gun line for the family stores. Never met or talked to the guy. I am not a shrill, hack, or fanboy. Seeing if anybody knows of these guys, i.e., bought a rifle, looked at all their vids, or just has SH opinion. Never owned a piston, but considering the jump. The melonite barrel coating has also captivated my interest.

Re: Huldra Arms

They seem like a nice gun to me. They came on the shelf of our fleet farm about a year ago maybe less. I've just looked at them never held one. But they seem like a quality product. They are made by Adams arms in the US.

Re: Huldra Arms

Found the link on Adams Arms and never heard of them either. I like 5.45x39 Russian because good ballistics and it's cheap (e.g., russian tins ~15 cent a round) and stumbled on their Huldra Arms 5.45x39 AR piston upper. They had a torture test on Youtube where they shot ~ 4800 5.45x39 rounds with it, using russian corrosive stuff from the sardine cans without a stoppage. Not mine, but I have seen an AK74 nearly ruined after not cleaning (~6 months) using this same stuff. They have a video and tout how long before stoppage and no damage occured to melonite coated parts (e.g., barrel).

Ok I admit a farm ag big box selling a piston AR under their label is a little odd, and there are top shelf AR piston companies with defense contracts, but the videos (ammo tests, torture tests, etc) are interesting. Reminds me watching pitchman Billy Mays on TV

Re: Huldra Arms

guys, im from Wisconsin. He is a big 3 gun guy. these huldra's are made by adams arms. i have over 7,000 rounds through my adams arms 5.45x39 upper. they are good to go. the huldra's are the identical thing. dont be afraid. fleet farm has sold ak's and the such for a LONG TIME. they are not a "wal mart" type of store.

killshot, i have owned my fair share of pof's.

these 5.45's are fun as shit and reliable.
