I shot a really nice doe today at just over 200 yards. The projectile was a factory 75 grain Speer Gold Dot from a 20" barrel.
She was above me at about a 25 degree angle. She was HUGE (likely about 200#) and her head and muzzle were all greyed out.
She dropped in her tracks.
The exit hole was impressive at nearly 3" across.
Projectile retained weight was exactly 54 grains and just over .62 at its widest. The entrance was a dime sized hole.
I found the projectile laying on the ground just underneath her.
