Incoming Auburn professor won’t say ‘War Eagle’ because it contains the word ‘war’

I guess someone had to win it.

Thus us why we are doomed as a nation. Having to put up with this kind of lunacy is cancer. If simple words make you quiver and feel faint.....do us a favor and step in front of a bus.
Liberals are the cancer on society. They kill everything they come in contact with. Forget corona virus....this is what we need a cure for!

I live in 'Bama now, never understood War Eagle. I thought they were the Tigers, yet they have an eagle too. 'Bama schools have an identity crisis. War Eagle/Tiger. Crimson Tide (ok, it's microscopic mind you) and an Elephant.

Seriously, that guy is a twerp!!!!!!!!

Its a battle cry thing. War Eagle is a war cry, but Tiger is the Mascot. Honestly, I think many College football teams have a kick off war cry and a different mascot.

heres some of th theory behind ours:

If I had his class Id have to use his class to familiarize my self with my inner tourette's syndrome with unwanted loud bouts of pussy and the ever so polite cock sucker ever time he opened his mouth to talk just cause I could and get away with it coughing fits of fag would surely follow . If you could smash a group of snowflakes (The term "snowflake generation" was one of Collins English Dictionary's 2016 words of the year. Collins defines the term as "the young adults of the 2010s, viewed as being less resilient and more prone to taking offence than previous generations".) into any mold would they automatically form a giant vagina lol

Well, I'm partial to our WAR cry.. :). But at least it represents the same mascot...WPS!!! :)
ps...I'm not a Tide fan....

You know... I get a lot of time to think while watching chips fly off machines and playing in the workshops at Schloss Nitrocellulose.

And I have started to wonder if liberalism is actually 'really' a mental disorder.

Allow me to offer my conjecture.... We are all familiar with Psychopathy. It is a lack of empathy. It is not a mental disorder that makes people collect moths and put lotion in a basket. It is simply that psychopaths can do this sort of thing without remorse. It's a real, documented and legitimate psychological status. I won't call it an illness or a disease. It is simply a state of being that many have. And a few turn into something monstorous.

So if the 'lack of empathy' is at one end of a spectrum of some kind... is there something at the other end of the spectrum which is 'Far too much Empathy?" In other words... a mental state where you can't help yourself but to get worked into a frenzy over EVERYONE else and EVERYTHING else that is not you, yourself and your individual situation? It stands to reason that is Psychopathy is one end of the scale.... then the other end of the spectrum would be people who are so disturbed by their empathy for everything from Polar Bears to Starving African Kids to Swedish Retards named Greta to Cattle (my dinner) to Dogs on Leashes to... you name it. They can't go through life for one minute without getting wound into a knot empathizing with everything in sight, to the point that they cannot function without trying to right every wrong, free every Rhesus Monkey, Save every Seal, break down over every slur... and have to spend their mentally-deranged lives forcing their empathy on everyone else?

I have never looked into it, really. But is liberalism really just the flip side of Psychopathy?

There have been some interesting historical/scientific (refereed) papers published on how societies decline when they get successful enough to allow a Leisure Class and an Academic Class to start destroying the basic survival principles. And they are good, thought-provoking pieces that I think have merit.

Has anyone ever done a scientific paper, study or research project to offer up a psychological explanation for the "over-Empathizing" personality and to try and put it on a spectrum somewhere? And question the impact of those folks on political discourse?

Liberalism is a disease is a mantra that I've had for some time. But until the last couple of years, never really tried to put some scientific method around my personal viewpoint. So we have an hypothesis.... needs a conjecture, a study, a theory and some conclusions.

Maybe someone beat us to it?

Cheers,

Sirhr

I have an uncle that says the samething. He told me about 10years ago how liberalism is a mental illness. He said and is right, that libs have no ability to reason or differentiate fact from fiction. You always see a lib get triggered when they dont get their way. They will spew how President Trump is Hitler, yet have nothing to back that up. I get triggered by their ignorance and out right stupidity.
I don't deal with crazy very well......like not at all.

Well, as an academic I can tell everyone “...it really is as bad as you believe it to be”. But I like your argument and suggest a new term for it: HyperEmpathy.

I would also suggest the divisions growing within our country resembles Vietnam. They went through this same internal battle and it ended in the socialist takeover of their society. We seem to be in the midst of the same struggle. Higher Education is just a reflection of how screwed up our country has become. When you pay someone to teach these useless courses at an institution of higher learning... that institution is terminally ill. It will eventually become a socialist stronghold.

Yeah and he can go fuck himself with a cactus. People like this is why we can't have a true discussion of equal rights. He is an anti white racist, I dont even know what that means. He is Jewish, I'm guessing it means that he has a lot of white guilt or some shit.

Fuck him and the horse he rode in on

As an Auburn alum, I am embarrassed that we would even consider hiring someone like that. However, his confrontational style right off the bat tells me it is unlikely he will be there long. They just need to give him enough rope. He will be his own undoing with an attitude like that. He has a strong Anthony Weiner thing going on with him - far too confident and arrogant. Oh, and he seems to think he can kick your ass if you mess with him, martial arts and all, so y’all look out for him, heh heh. And someone needs to tell him, it’s War DAMN Eagle!!

Write the trustees as an alumni... have your fellow alumni do the same. And not a single dollar gets donated until he is fired. Money talks with trustees! Sirhr

Let me take his ass to one tailgate with me and ill have him Screaming War Eagle.
He obviously is from outside SEC territory. Who would hire this guy? I really dont like the idea he is in my town pushing his left-winged agendas. Maybe we can fix him. I dunno.

Something tells me he's already been 'fixed'. I bet he can say "Give it to me in the ass, big guy." 😂

I just did an academic webinar with a couple of professors about current events and likened things to the McCarthy hearings. First really polarizing mass media event... everyone took sides and it left a scar that was probably as responsible for the ‘60s as Vietnam. Like the virus... it did not matter if there were Communists in the state dept or Hollywood. You believed or you didn’t. Your position became who you were. And we arguably still have not recovered.

interestingly, a couple of recent books have cast McCarthy in a rather more favorable light. He was a drunk and a self-promoter and an asshat in general. But he was not wrong.

I think Covid will have the same effect long after a rather ho-hum virus is long gone.

Interestingly, Ann Coulter gave a brief historical recap and defense of McCarthy in one of her books (Treason). Turns out the Russian release of the Verona files provide proof that McCarthy was right.

The face palm factor here hurts! I have a feeling that clown is going to be a short time there b/f he seeks employment elsewhere or comes up with some kind of lawsuit b/c of something he deems unfair. SJW plant?

Either way WAR EAGLE! Dang it's gonna be a tough fall if we don't get any CFB going.

The fact they even hired a guy like that,... says volumes about whats going on down there. Back in 2011 I had an slight issue on I-85,... long/short some of the best lawyers in the state said they could bank more by,...NOT,...going to trial in that county, do to many factors of the demographics. I've never looked at that place the same, again.

Count on it. I have many Jewish friends, but it seems that a certain group of them, the anti defamation league, just love to play the 'ethnic' card. Poor little us.

Throw in queer on top of that and it could get stupid, quick.

That's a tenet of Dimwit politics that EVERYONE has an aggrieved status in identity politics. All you have to do is pick from the laundry list of PC terms and manufacture whatever your heart desires!

From Theverygirl:
Histrionic Personality Type
Contrary to what we usually think of a difficulty (sic) personality type, this person is really very likeable and often the life of the party. They leave an indelible impression on others, and you can’t help but be drawn in by the dramatic way with which they approach well, everything. The only problem is that that they aren’t really very deep. That is, they tend to have shallow relationships and fleeting emotions. So while you believed them when they said they would loooooooove to help you with a project, or their life is toooootally falling apart, or they found theeeeee person of their dreams last night, they have a hard time keeping their word or acting in ways consistent with their sentiments.

It’s as if they lose attention and focus quickly. One of the main issues with this type of person is dependency. They are dependent on attention and excitement, and have difficulty feeling adequate if they are not performing. So one of the ways to protect yourself from the avalanche of drama is to simply disconnect (and I mean that in the healthiest of ways). That is, take what they say with a grain of salt, and don’t react to every whim or “emergency.”

Just because they may not be consistent or predictable does not mean that you don’t have to be. And perhaps you’re ability to be more consistent and sincere will, at the very least, model a healthier interaction.

I found this in a search for "contrarian personality disorder".

Interesting topic to ask the Mrs. She's that one single state employed forensic psychologist that happens to not be a liberal commie twat. I'd be interested to hear her professional opinion.

I will be very interested to hear what she says!

Will ask her tonight when she gets home from visiting our twins in the NICU. I'm at home packing. Moving at the end of the month. Fun times we're living in. We're busy so I'll give her a few days to think on it.

"Lecturers" are at the bottom of the faculty salary scale and many are only on 9 month contracts. And Auburn ain't the cheapest place in AL to live. So if he comes and if he stays, he ain't going to be getting rich. He's probably also one of those folks w/ $100k+ in student loan debt and expecting it to be forgiven. I'm curious to hear about his efforts to hang with his bros in the local hoods.

So if he comes and if he stays,

I can answer about the bros.
And when they get done.
Bang, bang, bang.......

I know those bros pretty well... funny, they live in AU but most of them are dyed in the wool Bama fans....
I cant wait to read that police report...
