Honestly, I don't even know or think I need the the thrower. If & when it comes out, yes, I'll probably still get it
Based on what everyone says, if I had the V3/IP combo I probably wouldn’t care if it ever comes out. I have the IP Trickler and have to do the bulk dump manually, but I don’t think the thrower is going to save me very much time or effort. It works pretty well as it is. But it would make things simpler if it works well, so I will definitely buy it and I continue to look forward to getting it. But I have to admit, I’m pretty soured on the whole experience after we were told it was “ready” nearly two years ago, and then countless busted-deadlines since then. It’s looking pretty dubious. What a shame. It really is the Lucy/Charlie Brown football kick in real life.

I'm not even a little mad. My V3 works awesome without any IP parts. It works even awesome'er with the upgrades.
I recently got the whole upgrade for my 2 V3’s. I haven’t had time to hook it up. It’s been a month since I’ve had it. I probably have time to put it all together this week. But just by reading through the manual, I’m a little confused about the setup for the A&D scale. I’m assuming the scale setup from the manual would be necessary even without the IP thrower? I only have the V3 IP upgrades with the shields and the keypads. But not the thrower.

If you are referring to the optioning of your A&D FX120i scale per the directions in the IP Powder system manual, yes there are a few differences from the set up directions in the A&D manual. The IP directions are straight forward, just follow the directions one step at a time.

Thank you. Maybe I need to try that. My shop is my 3rd car garage and I have a mini split system that I have to have running in the summer. His draft shield and sliding door actually work really well, but I like the bigger opening on this model.

Think I’m going to try that Area419 ring glued to the top hack as well.

So you want a man's livelihood to be ruined because you had to wait for the new toy?

Disgusting take and Baron 23 liking it really shows both of your moral characters

I've been a member here since 2008, and people like you are what give the shooting sport and this forum a bad name

Disgusting take & emotionally challenged example. All for a toy

Must be a hell of a view from that high horse of self-righteousness you are sitting on. And, you seem to be able to selectively quote me without actually being knowledgeable of the overall nature of my posts in this thread and the one that got nuked.

In summary, I totally agree that none of us paid any sort of money up front for this powder drop system and hence have not suffered any actual loss or harm.

But I also posted a number of times that, for the bulk of my career, I worked as a customer facing program manager in some very high tech, cutting edge, and costly core network systems for large scale telco carriers and feel qualified to make the following points:
  • Schedule slips happen during product development….to everybody
  • Even though my customers also did not pay any money up front, they nonetheless reasonably expected us to:
    • Inform them ahead of time (not when the date actually past) of a slip
    • Tell them why we slipped and what we are doing to ensure it doesn’t happen again
    • Give them a realistic revised date and show how we can have a good degree of confidence in making this date
IMO, while Paul may be a very nice and talented guy, it seems he has no idea of how to build a realistic schedule, identify risks, and plan to mitigate these risks. He also seems to have no idea how to communicate his status to his customer base (and yes, we are part and parcel of his customer base).

The stock response of the defenders of IP is that his time is better spent getting the product ready to ship than responding to retail customers. IMO, this is bunk. All it would take is a few minutes to put an actual informative blurb on his website. That’s it. He seems to cut out time to talk to customers so he apparently has time write a small paragraph explaining current status, a revised ship date, and how he has confidence that this date will stand. None of this has he done.

So…in summary, go away and bother someone else, dude.

It Is not a high horse or self righteous.

It’s just men knowing how to act like men and not spoiled children who aren’t playing with the newest toy.

To like a comment (which you did) that wishes a large corporation would steal someone’s hard work or design because you aren’t happy is disgusting behavior and shows a low moral compass and a lack of integrity.

Since this simple situation has caused you emotional damage, it’s safe to say you have never faced diversity in your life and have always gotten what you want by stomping your feet and refusing to go to bed.

Edit****
& I’ll add that for you to try and play the victim and feel you are attacked shows a lack of self awareness and a lack of understanding between what is morally right and wrong

Again, this is a powder measure/thrower
A luxury item at best to save us all time.
It won’t cure cancer
It won’t fix your bad shooting fundamentals
& it won’t bring you eternal happiness or make you immortal

It is a powder measure

It won’t even cook you a nice succulent Chinese meal

Now you are just making shit up....you know absolutely fuck all about me and what I've faced. You'll just say anything to defend your post. You need to watch that knee jerk defensiveness and the need to always be right. It'll bite you.

for you to try and play the victim and feel you are attacked
"feel that I was attacked" "play the victim"

Are you a congenital idiot? Your words are still here for all to read...and yes, that's a personal attack. FFS

Baron 23 liking it really shows both of your moral characters

You are just making shit up to justify your intemperate words and No...I do not accept you as some sort of authority on my "moral compass and a lack of integrity". Just how unaware are you that you absolutely make stuff up about me and then preach about "integrity". You really should look up the meaning of self-righteousness.

Just fucking go away.

You have not offered any insite or advice on this thread.

Just complaining and whining & liking a disgusting post.

A man is judged by his actions not what he "feels" about himself.

Your actions speak loudly

You are hilarious.....not once in your personal ad hominid criticism of me personally did you even once address my points about schedule development, risk mitigation planning, and customer communications....you have the gall to say that I didn't offer any insights (not insite....I'm guessing spelling wasn't part of your training as an "Industrial Pipe Layer" 🙄).

I'm done with you.
