As of 2 May, the Russian Federation has lost nearly 23,800 personnel, 1,048 tanks, and 2,519 combat vehicles since the beginning of the war.

Details: Total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February and 2 May 2022 comprise approximately:

• 23,800 (+300) military personnel
• 1,048 (+22) tanks
• 2,519 (+48) armoured combat vehicles
• 459 (+8) artillery systems
• 152 (+1) multiple rocket launchers
• 80 (+0) units of air defence equipment
• 194 (+2) planes
• 155 (+0) helicopters
• 1,824 (+28) units of automotive equipment and fuel tanks
• 8 (+0) ships/boats
• 271 (+26) operational-tactical UAVs
• 38 (+6) units of special equipment
• 84 (+0) cruise missiles

On 1 May Russian troops suffered the most dramatic losses on the Izium front.
The General Staff noted that: according to the algorithm of the list, the Russian boats destroyed by Ukrainian troops on the morning of 2 May will be accounted for in the 3 May report.
