What Russia did is essentially say since you are dragging your feet and refusing to follow the peace agreements, we will go ahead and unilaterally recognize the separatist territories as sovereign states.
Then since the Ukraine is shelling and shooting into those areas, the Russians sent a full contingent of "Peacekeeping forces" to help defend the new countries

After assisting in deposing an actual elected official. Bribeing prosecutors, putting family and friends in charge of companies... Russia wanted the industrial east, which produced about 35% of Ukraine GDP and basing rights in Crimea.

1. Democrats are more supportive of this conflict...
2. Many people don’t realize that letting Ukraine join NATO would be the catalyst that would set this into full scale war, Putin has said that. 43% think its a good idea. Yet only 13% support sending actual troop to fight. So they don’t mind provoking a war but they don’t wanna fight it...
3. I thought republicans were the war mongers and democrats were peaceful... someone needs to let the liberals know...
