All the .mil planes in Europe from Germany east have turned off ADS-B. Also UK only has a few helos still broadcasting position.

Click on "U" in top right to show only .mil aircraft.

It's been regularly busy all along the Russian / Ukrainian / Belorussian border for months. Not sure precisely when they switched it off, past few days, possibly today.

Last time this happened was when this started (see post #1)

(This thread has had some entertaining diversions along the way

bills should be one item alone and no sticking anyting into them
I can’t see anything about disaster relief, but yeah this is was attached to other government funding. Not disagreeing with ya.

Read they got the Republicans in the senate to agree to it because they dropped some 22 billion dollar Covid relief bill.

Rona is not a concern any more. They want to fund other disasters.

With mid terms coming up, things like this are very concerning.

Just listened to an interview with an ex general (edit-ex col)McGregor, he believes Russia is about to get serious. His interview starts around 5:45 in video below.

Sounds like a serious escalation is not far off.

they need to so they can end this bs. The longer this goes on, the worse their position. They should have invaded en masse and ovewhelmed the ukies instead of thinking spearheads would be welcomed like liberating from nazis

Meanwhile, Norks just lobbed a missile over Japan

Not enough to start anything, but enough to keep our attention pointed east and west at the same time.

Some rumors about Xi (unconfirmed) and his reelection to his 3rd term is in a couple weeks. If and when he's confirmed, then they move on Taiwan. Not necessarily kinetic, could be a blockade. Philippines flipping back to our side helps immeasurably.

This is kind of interesting, China is turning off the lights in some of their cities to save energy. Apparently they have quite the heat wave.

Also a handy test-run for going dark during wartime, although thermal, NV and gps sort of minimize the need for well-lit targets. I've heard somewhere that certain sats would be the first victims of an all out conflict. Wonder if other sats besides gps/Galileo/glonass/beidou etc can be used as improvised gps? Starlink perhaps?

Also Rooskies moving their bombers up north:

pfff
twitter is nothing but BOTs run by the gov... Musk has proven that. The number of actual bots, has yet to be disclosed in Musk's ongoing lawsuit with anti Constitutionalists and haters of free speech.
Don’t disagree, I don’t tweet. Actually most of my Twitter exposure is from links posted here.

if nothing else, pro ukraine or pro christian, pro democracy or pro soros...
this tells you who and/or what elects senators in this country, and it isn't us.
How can you stand to live in a Godless country as the USA or any country in the West and not move to a Godfearing country as Russia?

Has he? He just decided to go through with the purchase. . .

i detect some sarcasm, although it seems appropriate when you consider most places in america that we see on "the news".
the thing is, "most" of americans are good people, and it is the media and internet that represents americans as idiot buttfuckers and tossers.
you, for example...i am almost certain you are not as bad as you might seem to be.

As far as live air traffic monitoring, Europe is dark (zero .mil planes showing). US is relatively busy for this hour of the day, plus many flights with no callsign (unusual in CONUS).

Moderate activity in the Indo-Pac, a Global Hawk up over Japan which is relatively new (at least one broadcasting). Poss monitoring SAM tests

Wonder if the latest push was accompanied by NATO planes in UKR airspace?

Zelensky says no dice to peace talks. Small wonder when he's getting weekly billions.

My guess is Washington wants a victory right before November elections. Everything else is secondary.

Or perhaps this is a real geopolitical situation where a saber rattling despot who is trying to take sovereign countries by force has been met by a greater force.

Finnish mp on the nuke stick:

There is much speculation on whether and when Russia might use nuclear weapons. This threat should be taken seriously, many say.

Let us think about the risk and what "taking seriously" means.

The likelihood of Russia using nukes cannot be calculated. Russia has never used them. We do not know the circumstances under which Russia actually would use nukes - until it does.

One problem is that we do not know the consequences of Russia using nukes. Neither does Russia. Would it lead to a Ukrainian (and Western) capitulation? Or a massive Western conventional retaliation against who knows what targets? Or a nuclear retaliation.

Whether Russia would use nukes depends (besides other factors) on what the Russians believe the rest of the world will do after that. So far, they have made several miscalculations. Who knows how they see this question?

Is it possible that the Russians would use nuclear weapons? Certainly, but the follow-up question is: So what?
Even if we assume that the risk exists, what conclusions or policy solutions can we make on that basis? Surrender?

If Mr Putin sees that nuclear threats and blackmail work, i.e. if he can influence our choices and behavior by threatening us with nuclear weapons, he will continue to play that card.

What if, at some later time, he invades and annexes territories of Kazakhstan, Georgia, Poland, the Baltic states or Finland and then tells the world Russia will "defend" these new territories with everything it has? The risks would be the same.

Thus, there is not much else we can do but prepare for the worst, hope for the best and keep doing what is right. Being afraid and being paralyzed by fear are two different things.

Pacifism should not be just about ending a present war at any cost. It should be about preventing future wars by showing the potential aggressors that aggression does not pay. If it does pay, there is an incentive for it.

and before Obama's 2014 color revolution, the map looked the same. for the state dept lackeys among us, did "russia" have a gun to people's heads way back then? Or are we looking at self-determination in 2010 and secession after the color revolution in 2014. if anything, the propped up globohomo government of kiev has a gun to the heads of everyone in the territory they occupy right now.

Drone no-fly maps of Europe. Poland, in particular, has a bunch of interesting ones.

Usually it's just airports and power plants (especially nukular). One can understand all the borders with Ukraine, Belarus and Russia, but they have a whole bunch more scattered about.

I don't ukraine has more forces than Russia
and how about all the money and modern military hardware. not to mention the satellite and spy aircraft direct intel which we are feeding the nazis for free - it's not even counted against their pallets of cash. The military value of that alone is inestimable, when you know every troop movement your enemy makes in real time. People forget that Russia is not on par with the US in terms of feeding the MIC. they aren't even close. Ukraine is being bankrolled and armed in a way that Russia could never match. There is only one rapacious, tyrannical government who has the vast military resources and the inclinations to conquer the world, and it certainly aint poor, broken down Russia.

I did read it all, bc I was bored over my morning coffee. These fucksticks are so hilarious. I wonder how much of this talk happened when we were ass bombing villages for 40 years in the middle east.

We gotta do the right thing they say, prevent future wars they say, blah fucking blah. What a bunch of chodes.

Translation, the west only likes wars they finance with tax payers dollars. If anyone else does it, we need to pacify it and use it on a global stage to show how "peaceful" we are.

This whole fucking thing reminds of a South Park episode where we needed hippies and patriots to show the world that we were ready to defend it, but didn't really want war all at the same time.

The Russians just got a taste of modern mobile warfare, including taking the term of Mission Command, to it's outmost extreme and they has failed to cope with it, miserably!!!

The Ukrainian Armed Forces Command did something very wise, a couple of years ago, as the training tactics was completely changed from anything they had learned and done, until then and a combination of British and Swedish organization was implemented instead.

It took a lot of struggle to do this, but the outcome are seen today, where mobillity, firepower and individual thinking among the commanders are showing the devastating results and horrible losses to their opponents.

As for the tactical nuke's, we just have to wait and see what will happen......

“Ukrainian Armed Forces Command”. More like NATO Command. The Uks ain’t got a pot to piss in without the West giving them everything. You are giving way too much credit to Team Ukraine.

I’m not pro either side in this, but it does help to acknowledge the reality of who’s moving the chess pieces. I mean, if you like truth and stuff like that.

The only winning is everyone realizing how stupid this shit is. Picking up a hammer and rebuilding this country, they have worked so hard to destroy.
