But they’re not allowing teachers to carry? WTF? That’s usually the only thing standing between a gunman and the students. We’ve seen how well resource officers work. They’re usually hiding behind the gym while kids are being shot. I bet if they asked, they could get almost an unlimited number of parents volunteering on a rotating basis. At least parents would have a real stake in protecting the kids...protecting their own kids.

Patriot militia groups can be started on a local level and made into a franchise operation just like the pedo catching organizations such as Predator Poachers. Militia members, just like the ones who made up the backbone of the forces that won this country's freedom from the Crown, can volunteer to do rotating shifts at schools, churches, and high profile events like religious gatherings where violence from degenerate types are expected. They can also provide armed security details for predator catching organizations conducting online pedo stings. Militia members would form a tier right under sheriff deputies and local police. They are armed community members who volunteer their free time to provide blanket protection for their communities. Not on the payroll of any established LE agencies but volunteers who may also be paid by the folks who seek protective services. Some LE agencies might even grant "Special Patrolman" status to them.

Anglo-Saxon England used this EXACT model to keep their communities and shires safe. The "weaponed men" are furnished with their own spears, shields, and axes and are the moment-ready defense forces of their communities. The "shire reeve" or sheriff, will deputize a number of them if they are needed to apprehend a fugitive, or if there is an invasion and the King issues an order to the shires to mobilize troops at once to fight the invasion. Once the emergency is over, the weaponed men immediately return to their daily roles as farmers, bakers, and blacksmiths etc., but always armed and always vigilant.
