I just got one of the KAC LPR's that Oakland Tactical had for sale on here and I just wanted to inform everybody that might be on the fence about buying one how bad ass these things are. I have a Gemtech M4-02 thread on suppressor and vortex pst 2.5-10 FFP scope. I was shooting 75 gr TAP red box. The black target was the first 6 shots out of the gun at about 40 yards just to get on paper. Then I cleaned it real good and shot the other 6 round group at 100, the low shot is clean, cold bore. Not bad for my fist time out. the only change I made wag a little heavier buffer because the suppressor stays on the gun.

The thing certainly ought to shoot well like that. It has a Service Rifle Match contoured Krieger barrel, but with 2" chopped off to make it 18". That barrel is full profile under the hand guard all the way out to the gas block. A tad on the heavy side, but potentially VERY accurate, each and every one. Excellent supporting components, too: KAC URX 3.1 rail, Kac Micro 200-600M rear with Micro folding front, URX panel kit, etc.

It's one hell of a good value, IMO.

Yea Im impressed, I couldn't believe how heavy the barrel is under the hand guard. I measured .980 all the way to the gas block.

I live in Kommiefornia so I can't buy the whole rifle. My friend and I both got an LPR upper as soon as they came in stock. Mine shoots way better than I can. I put it on a lower with a Geissele SD3G trigger in it and put my compact nightforce on it. I shot it with the wind blowing 20-25mph. I was putting 10 rounds in 1.1", the target was being blown around pretty bad. I'm going to get a trigger that is more suited for precision shooting and then shoot it a lot more. I tried nosler 77's, sierra 69's and 77's loaded with ARcomp and CFE powders. There wasn't much difference between them all, although my best group was with the 69's. If I had stopped shooting at the 5 or 6 round mark I would have about .75" groups, but then I end up rushing the shots and making larger groups. These rifles/uppers shoot amazingly good.

I too just picked up a LPR upper. Only one range trip so far, but I was banging 8" steel at 500+ yards, and a torso sized plate at 580. With Wolf Gold and PMC Bronze. Waiting on my 1.2K order of Mk 262 from Southwest ammo. From what I've seen so far, this upper shoots!
