Re: KFC Double Down

Don't forget the sodium. The grilled has even more than the fried!

All this sandwich needs is for the ingredients to be Chinese or Mexican agricultural products with the typically included lead, melamine or human excrement by-products, respectively!

Re: KFC Double Down

Hahaha my first job at 15 years old was a KFC buffet.

We served up plenty of bloody raw chickens. The cooks there would laugh about it anytime they heard a customer complained they thought it was hilarious.

Anyone that eats at KFC and complains about the quality of the food should step back for a moment and recognize that you're eating at a fast food chain. Literally the cheapest shittiest place you can buy food.

Also the racks of chicken that came there were absolutely disgusting you could just smell the chemicals oozing off them from the processing they'd been through.

For instance, you wouldn't drink a bottle of ammonia if the state department said it wouldn't harm you, but you're perfectly happy to plop down 6 bucks on some fried meat that's been literally swimming in the stuff.

Also I'm guessing in the 70s the average chicken nugget contained chicken and wasn't misted with butane.

What was healthy 20 or 30 years ago is no longer thanks to the science of food processing, and the average American couldn't care less. Hence the obesity epidemic, and the skyrocketing diabetus population, and considering the way things are going I'm certain that zounds of children today will die before I do because they don't have a clue how to eat healthy and their parents simply shrug the idea off.

I just hope that the young girls all survive. Won't somebody thing of the young girls?!

Food should be viewed as fuel for your body not a fucking vacation for your mouth.

Have you seen the little girls running around these days, their stacked and fully developed, I always joked that it was hormones in the beef but I'm starting to think I was right.

Often attributed to PCB's and Hormones from cheap plastic processing methods foods are often susceptible to leaching from.

Also a result of lots of the hormones used in dairy production by the cheaper lower end mass produced corp dairy farms.

Or maybe it's just we're getting older and we don't remember what they looked like when we were in junior high.

Re: KFC Double Down

Every Friday my daughter and I went to KFC, daddy daughter time before we made the hour long trek back to my house for the weekend.

They closed.

A rat had gotten into the boiler and they breaded it and served it as well.

THey closed, did I mention that?

Re: KFC Double Down

Looks like the only way it could be improved would be pepper jack cheese and a side of suasage gravy (never understood why KFC didn't offer that.....but their gravy is pretty good).

I don't expect fine dining from fast food. Hell I like Jack in the Box tacoes and they are nothing like a taco!!

Re: KFC Double Down

Speaking of hormones in food,,,,

We have a close family friend who had a daughter born with a rare 'medical anomaly'. Suffice to say, she does not 'eat' as everyone else I've ever met does. She has been tube fed, her whole life.

She is 15 now, and just starting to develop. Her father and I have spoken 'clinically' regarding the difference between her and every other female in society. His words are "the differences are staggering".

His career is as a Nurse. He's been a RN for years and has seen a lot of patients to base his view on as well.

So never mind the commercial that asks... "what's in your wallet"?

Be more concerned with "What's in Your cupboard"?

You are what you eat, right?

Winnipeg is a test-bed for restaurants and other 'newfangled trends. This "sandwich" has been around for a few weeks here. I've not had one yet. Tempting, but I ain't running out just yet.

I say bread and chicken fry the bacon. That would go great with the white gravy.

Re: KFC Double Down

I think KFC is at most a failed attempt to fried chicken but then again I grew up going to grandma's for fried chicken dinner every sunday after church.

Nothing better than chicken fried in a old black cast iron skillet using the lard from the hog that was butchered last winter. Fresh bisquits, skillet gravy and garden fresh trimmings would top off the table.

But then again KFC can have health benefits if you count the digestive track flush and power squirts.
