Hey all
as everyone knows the flash holes on lapua brass are .057 or 1.5mm
Currently in contact with hornady to see if they offer a decapping pin for their match dies for this size.
I've tried sanding it down using a cordless drill and sand paper but that was taking forever so I gave up.
Any other suggestions>

My 2nd issue is a lot of the flash holes have burrs. I attempted to removed the burrs with my dedurring tool but it didnt fit the flash hole obviously.
how do you guys remove them in lapua brass?
would a simple drill bit that fits work?
Thanks again for all your help guys!

Mighty Armory decapping die with the small pin is nicest option.

I already had a bunch of Lee universal decapping dies so I sanded down the pins in a cordless drill. Use a hand file instead of sandpaper, much much faster.

Never heard of or seen burrs in Lapua brass primer holes. I believe they are drilled not punched. I would NOT recommend messing with them. I believe some benchrest shooters tested and found that it was actually detrimental on Lapua small primer brass.

Over on accurate shooter awhile back the Lapua rep said that the flash holes are indeed punched and not drilled like they are rumored to be. Its just that they keep their tooling sharp seemingly unlike many others. Ive never seen any ugly burrs on my lapua brass but honestly, I havent check on them lately since for so many it seemed like a waste of time.

Ive read that a new sharp drill bit will do but I would rather have something with a depth stop built into it to avoid over chamfering. k&m and 21st should both have an option that will work.

I have never had Lapua brass with burrs in FH. Not to say they don't have them. I check with a bore scope.
Sinclair makes a deburring tool that will not mar the inside case neck . Or, get the drill bit.
