Celia and I watched the first three episodes last night.

I am officially throwing the Weird/WTF flag.

Whoever makes the decisions to buy these sacks of crap and put them on the air really needs to be sidelined from the entertainment business.

We too had the opportunity to watch them, as well as the 4th episode. It just keeps getting weirder and weirder. My Lady and I are partially curious about it, simply to see what the 'gotcha' moment is going to be.

Alas, we have long thought that the 'gotcha' was in getting people to watch this crap to begin with...... and the same sentiments go with that show called "the Last Ship".

I watched the first two episodes and stopped. It seems as if atmosphere is filling in for character and sturm und drang for plot. I read that the fellow mostly responsible for Lost is writing this; that pretty much precluded any hopes I had for global coherence or eventual resolution. A shame too, as there are some fine actors in there and the camera work is pretty good.

The Last Ship is like ABC's quickly-canceled "Last Resort", except featuring McSteamy and a destroyer instead of a boomer.

Like most TNT dramas (looking at you, Falling Skies) it is campy entertainment in a summer full of nothing - and The Last Ship gets a plus-one for Rhona Mitra.

I'm three episodes in and it needs to pick up the pace or it's coming off the queue. I like the characters but I'm so use to Game of Thrones & Banshee that this thing drags like the ass of a dog with worms.

I had high hopes for The Last Ship as well but am quickly losing interest. The only reason I'll continue to watch is to see what Rhona Mitra is up to:)
