Not done yet but it’s coming along, of course converting to semi auto. This is an Israeli DROR. Never even heard of such a thing till recently, the build from parts kit is pretty simple and straight forward. It’s a fairly interesting contraption, maybe some of you nerds know more of the details of why it was a thing in the era it was.

Yup, the type one was basically a Johnson clone, this type 2 is completely it’s own animal

Back in WW2, a batch of .30 cal ammo sent to the Pacific theatre reportedly fouled so badly that only the Johnson rifle, Johnson LMG and the Browning 1919 could use it! That sort of ammo tolerance has to be a point in favour of the Johnson system.

Good call, it basically is wierd bar, made from 1946-1952, so it makes me wonder why they didn’t just lend lease bars from the US, I mean they did a shit ton of our 1919’s
