LR-308 question

So, I got my birthday 'special pricing' for MidwayUSA and have my eye set on a 24" .260 upper. It says that they expected delivery June 30th (yes, this year). My questions are: 1) has anyone received a DPMS upper recently from them; and 2) if so, how long did you wait? I called and they said they really expect them to arrive on the 30th, but sometimes... If you guys have found a bull-barrelled .308 or .260 DPMS upper cheaper than $705 shipped (and IN STOCK) please let me know.

Midway is pretty good about fulfilling back orders on time but still roll of the dice.

I would assemble my own with the DPMS 260 20" barrel if I wanted one bang for the buck 260.

I built my own in 6.5 creedmoor it was quite easy I found plenty of parts online on Fulton-Armory and Rainier Arms.

Not a DPMS but I have ordered items from Midway they claimed would be in stock within two or three weeks, only to have them show up six months later. It's all about the supply chain so I would take the claims of availability with a grain of salt.

B3dlam, that is a sweet looking rig sir. I was on Fulton's website, it was more like window shopping. I mean I spec'd out a nice upper and watched the four digit price tag continue to climb as I kept saying "Now wouldn't it be cool if ...." I appreciate the heads-up on slow turn-around times, but for the price I think I will probably just roll the dice. Thanks again, JA.
