Re: M14 ROGUE chassis system

Got one of these...a lot of fun to shoot, especially offhand as it is nicely balanced. Took my M1A from JAE GII and put it in this with comparable results. Very excited for the left handed charging handle...will be a nice upgrade. Overall satisified with the product....

Re: M14 ROGUE chassis system

Thanks Danny, Charging handle is do in any day...........You'll be the first one i call when it comes in!

Re: M14 ROGUE chassis system

Next step is a dedicated receiver and maybe bolt. Won't affect the rest of the chassis/receiver interface.

Does that thing's cheekpiece adjust up and down?

Looks like magazines are still on the rock in/rock out plan. Not sure I like that.

Also can't tell whether it allows use of an M16-style bolt *release* rather than the old-style bolt catch.

Re: M14 ROGUE chassis system

Does not have an adjustable cheek piece, but we have been told on several occasions that the cheek well is perfect. You can fine tune it by using different height scope rings. This system allows for the SEI bolt release. And yes you still have to rock the mags!

Some new testimonials........fresh of the SWAT range yesterday.....
Juggernaut Tactical Rogue chassis system testimonials following SWAT Training CQB drills conducted by Captain Nick:

“I could shoot this all day…it’s smooth and recoil is almost non-existent for a .308. You don’t feel the weight because it’s so well-balanced. Agencies with M1As or M14s in their inventory really need to check out the Rogue.” Jason M, Deputy and SWAT operator/sniper

“This is a very solid, maneuverable, beautifully balanced, compact piece of equipment. This is the perfect tool for MOUT (Military Operations in Urban Terrain) or for designated marksmen, both military and LE/SWAT. Put an ACOG or 1X4 scope on it, and you’re good to go for anything from CQB distances out to 200 yards or more.” Brian T, Police Officer and SWAT operator/sniper

“This setup would be ideal for law enforcement and military operations in and around vehicles due to its compact size and maneuverability. The 7.62X51 mm NATO round (.308 Win) gives you the kind of barrier/vehicle/windshield penetration you just can’t get out of a 5.56 mm. With the right ammo, it would be great for LE use, with 110 grain frangible for entry teams and 150 to 168 grain match loads for the sniper. All it takes is a magazine change to go from sniping to entry. I can see this setup being used by rural deputies or state police officers whose cover might be 30 minutes away. The accuracy and power gives you a good standoff distance if under attack. In today’s environment of rifle-toting criminals with body armor, this system will provide American law enforcement with an added degree of survivability in lethal force encounters.” Scott F, Police Officer and SWAT operator/sniper

Re: M14 ROGUE chassis system

We travel around and do demo's............. I let people shoot the Rogue, I will be heading towards Quantico, VA soon. If any one is interested, I can possibly stop at your local range (if it's on my way) and arrange a shoot for you!

Re: M14 ROGUE chassis system

Wow! I was recently looking for something like this for an M1A. I was looking at the J. Allen stocks and thought they were pretty nice. But I wanted something shorter for close quarters. This thing is awesome, and L.E. discount to boot. I'm seriously considering.

Re: M14 ROGUE chassis system

From what I understand about this rig is the safety on this chassis system locks out the trigger rod that connects to the original trigger? The original safety of the installed M1A is left in the off position and the trigger rod is the only connection of the firing mechanism to the chassis system? So you have a hot trigger, although it encased within the chassis itself and the trigger rod can be locked out? Jus# trying to get an understanding of the workings.

Re: M14 ROGUE chassis system

you have a push block safety within the rogue trigger group, very similar to a Mossberg shotgun. and yes, you have to have the original trigger in the off position.

Re: M14 ROGUE chassis system

Here's a testimonial from Jon Wolfe, some one who is actually reputable. the owner of www.m-14parts.com

"The Rogue Chassis is an excellent platform for converting your M14 type rifle into a modern day weapon system. The stock allows the user to shorten the overall length of his rifle in order to achieve combat effectiveness in a close quarter or fast paced operational environment. No other platform allows such significant gains in maneuverability and balance while maintaining combat accuracy and long-range precision. We have conducted rigorous testing on the Rogue Chassis and found it to withstand the harshest of environmental conditions while still maintaining consistent accuracy and reliability after significant abuse. We do not often recommend a product, but the Rogue chassis exemplifies all the characteristics of a true battle ready design that affords the end-user the advantage of maneuverability, accuracy, durability, and on point accuracy required for today's contemporary operating environment."

Re: M14 ROGUE chassis system

It is nice reading a thread about this stock without having Waterboy whining for me to visit his cheesy website. When is Ice-sickle drip going to learn to pay vendor fees?

That said, I am very interested in the trigger on the Rogue. It is supposed to be here today, unless UPS is off on Veterans day. Wife is trying to get me to go out to dinner. I am hopefully going to be in the shop, and then the range tomorrow.

Wait...I hear the truck...Gotta go...

Re: M14 ROGUE chassis system

ahahah...........Water boy will never learn........and my wife just took me to applebees....... today VETS eat free!

Re: M14 ROGUE chassis system

The designer and Engineer of Short rifles left about a year ago.....taking their designs with them. Although they look similar, the rogue is completely redesigned with only the butt pad being interchangeable.
